Nowwell presented at AUA Innovation Nexus 2026

For decades, urinary catheter innovation has largely focused on coatings, materials and incremental product changes. Yet important clinical challenges associated with long-term catheterisation remain, including urinary tract infections, blockages, residual urine and other avoidable complications.

At the event, Nowwell CEO and CMO Nikolai Hoffmann-Petersen, MD, presented the NowCath Foley catheter and the thinking behind its development.

He also introduced the REDUCE Trial - a randomised, blinded crossover study in patients receiving long-term catheterisation. The trial is designed to clinically evaluate NowCath Foley and generate evidence around its intended performance.

The presentation reflected Nowwell’s broader purpose: enhancing dignity and quality of life for people affected by urinary incontinence and retention.

We thank the AUA Innovation Nexus team, our Clinical Advisory Board, collaborators and supporters for contributing to this journey.
